Tweetchat Guidelines

How do I participate?

Each week we’ll present a new SXSWi topic for discussion and ask 5-10 related questions in order to keep the conversation flowing. There will be a new question approximately every 10 minutes.

Each question will be tweeted out via our Twitter handle, @WisdioOwl (be sure to follow us if you don’t already!). In order to see other’s responses, simply search hashtag #SXSWchat on Twitter or Tweetchat.com.

Anytime you respond to a question, be sure to include the #SXSWchat hashtag so others can see your answers and engage with you!

I’m in! Can I invite my industry friends?

Absolutely – the more, the merrier! In addition, please feel free to RT each question so that your friends and followers can participate.

Finally, although #SXSWchat has a set schedule, we welcome you to use the hashtag anytime you have something you’d like to share with the #SXSWchat community!

Can I submit questions?

Absolutely – #SXSWchat is all about sharing advice and learning more about the personalization industry.

If you have a question you’d like to have asked during #SXSWchat, please submit it to: Scott@Wisdio.com (don’t forget to include your Twitter handle!) and we’ll include it in the next applicable chat session.

WAR: Displaying Credibility in Online Q&A

Sebastian Zontek - CEO & Founder, February 9, 2012.

Soon Wisdio users will begin to see their Wisdio Authority Rating (WAR) score appear on their profiles. Unlike the ratings within the already active knowledge profiles, the WAR score is an indicator of overall reliability. The WAR score is a global aggregation of answers which displays how helpful a user's answers will probably be for any given topic.

How it works:
Users WAR scores will fluctuate between 1 and 100. One being baseline of the scoring scale, and 100 being the highest rating possible. Wisdio strongly recognizes the fact that not one person can be considered an expert in everything, so having a WAR score of 100 is nearly impossible. We feel this will give users a realistic insight into the reliability of answers.

How can I increase my score?
The only way to make your score go higher or lower is to answer questions. As the score is determined by user votes, the more answers provided the better your chances of increasing your score will be. A great way to see substantial growth is to have other experts with high WAR scores vote on your answers, or be the first person to provide an answer to a question.

How does this score affect my online repuation?
The system is built to benefit people who share reliable knowledge online. By displaying your WAR score, you are letting the online community know that you care about sharing reliable information. While other platforms have found ways to prove who influential people are, there is no other platform like Wisdio that allows people to show that the content they share is reliable. Wisdio Authority Rating scores are in place to highlight those who can be trusted to create reliable insight, rather than just broadcast it. Users who have a high WAR score can assure others that their advice can be trusted, and ultimately will establish themselves as a source of knowledge online.
